Privacy policy
What we collect when you use this site or get in touch, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 4 November 2026.
Who we are
Project Performance is the personal training and coaching business of Ian Mellor, based in Morzine, France. We are responsible for the personal data described here. For anything about your data, email [email protected].
What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry
Our contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in and your message. We use these to reply and, if you go ahead, to arrange your training. Each enquiry is stored on our website and emailed to us.
If you tell us about an injury, a health condition or the menopause, we use that only to plan your training safely, and only because you chose to share it.
When you join our mailing list
We keep your email address to send you news and training tips. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you.
When you browse the site
With your permission, Google Analytics records which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (country or city), the type of device and how they found the site. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it for advertising. It only runs if you accept analytics cookies.
When you send a form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that it comes from a person and not a bot, using information about your browser.
When you book or pay
Bookings and payments are handled by PushPress on its own site. PushPress’s privacy policy covers what you give it there.
Our legal basis
- Enquiries: taking steps you have asked for before training with us, and our legitimate interest in answering messages.
- Health information you share: your explicit consent.
- Mailing list and analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Spam protection: our legitimate interest in keeping the forms free of abuse.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data or share it for marketing. We use these services to run the site, and they handle data only on our instructions:
- Our hosting provider: runs the website and the database where enquiries are stored.
- Resend: sends our emails and holds the mailing list.
- Google: Analytics (only with your consent) and Google Workspace, our email.
- Cloudflare: spam protection on forms and storage for the site’s images.
Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where your data leaves the UK or the EU, it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: up to two years after we last heard from you, unless you become a client.
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics: Google keeps it for 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, to object to how we use it, or to have a copy to take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email [email protected] and we will reply within a month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the CNIL in France or, if you live in the UK, to the ICO.
Cookies
We set only the cookies the site needs to work, plus analytics cookies if you accept them. The full list, and the switch to change your mind, is under Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
